Like all the Combat Unit Sets, this one came with instructions to build the display stand three different ways.
This set was originally released in 2010 in a hexagon shaped blister pack. In 2011 this set and several others were released in newly designed packaging to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Halo.
Although the content of both sets is identical, the 2010 packaging states the set contains 25 pieces while the 2011 packaging states the set has 45 pieces. The piece count difference is attributed to the 2010 set counts each figure as one piece, while the 2011 set counts each figure as six pieces (1 head + 1 torso/waist + 2 arms + 2 legs = 6 pieces)
