Name: The Covenant name for this weapon is needle launcher or shard launcher. Although there are many variants of needlers, the UNSC has grouped them all under the same designation of Type-33 Guided Munitions Launcher (T-33 GML) or Type-56 Guided Munitions Launcher (T-56 GML).
Common names for the needler are Needler pistol, Pinkies and Shrimp Shooter.
