Name: Covenant Plasma Sword

General Information: Energy swords, sometimes known as plasma swords, are a class of single-handed, double-bladed energy weapons developed by the Sangheili. To their users, they are formally designated as fireblades, and nicknamed plasma blades. The Office of Naval Intelligence has typically type-classified encountered energy sword variants under the designation of the Type-1 Energy Weapon/Sword (T-1 EW/S). Nicknames for the energy sword includes Katana and Kill Beam.

Variants:

Domotos-pattern energy sword - A variant with angular contours and a rectangular hole along the inner edge of either blades, with widespread use in the Banished, Jul 'Mdama's Covenant, and the Swords of Sanghelios in the post-war period.
Ravening Sliver - Lightweight relic blades with a green hilt and deep blue tint plasma. Each model was marked by its creator and first owner.
Vorpal Talon - A lightweight variant with a maroon hilt and plasma that produces an orange-to-cyan gradient.
Meluth'qelos-pattern energy sword - A variant with angular contours that saw use among the Banished during the Battle for Zeta Halo.
Duelist energy sword - A cobalt colored Meluth'qelos-pattern energy sword with a white hilt. It was used by Okro 'Vagaduun during the Battle for Zeta Halo.
Pelosus-pattern energy sword - A variant with circular contours on the blade around the hilt.
Zokotus-pattern energy sword - A variant with asymmetrical blade design.
Unidentified energy sword pattern - A variant with a widened gap between the two blades above its hilt.
Fleet of Retribution variant - A variant used by Sangheili from the Fleet of Retribution in 2552.

This version of resembles the Pelosus-pattern energy sword.

Version 1: Trans Blue

Description: This version of the energy sword uses a light blue translucent plastic to represent the plasma energy and clear plastic for the hilt. The clear plastic is also used between the two plasma blades to add stability. The blue plastic is darken in the picture to the left to better show the texture of the sword. The true color of the sword is seen in the pictures below "Wielders of the Sword".

In accordance with Halo lore, the plasma sword has only be released with Elites with only a few exceptions.

Halo Trivia:

In game lore, only Sangheili Warriors are permitted to wield a Plasma Sword. It is considered blasphemy for others to do so.
The UNSC Official name for the plasma sword is "Type 1 Energy Weapon Sword".
