Collector's note: Mega released three versions of the old articulation Steel color Spartan II in Mark IV armor. The first was release as part of an online promotion in 2009 (This version is a teal green). The second version, the in this article, was released in 2010 and may have been a European exclusive. The third version was released as part of the 2014 SPARTAN TRIBUTE PACK.

Collector's Note: The Steel Spartan II v1a and Cyan Spartan II v1 share the same ID number 99034.
Collector's Note: The "Steel" gray Spartan II was a promotional product first released in early 2009 and re-released in 2010 to promote the Mega Bloks Halo line of toys. The Steel Spartan came with a black Assault Rifle and green camouflaged brick with the serial number printed on one side.

Weapons: The 2010 version (99034) was released with a black assault rifle.

2009 vs 2010
Although both versions of the Steel Spartan II use the same mold, there are several differences in the two figures.
The 2009 Steel Spartan (right) has a teal green color while the 2010 version has a dark gray color.
The 2009 version has gray gloves while the 2010 version has black gloves.
The 2010 version has black paint applications on his boots.
